Jamie Jones is a DJ, whose relentless schedule of producing, spinning and partying would flatten most mortals. The fact he manages to straddle these disciplines with such skill has made him a large draw for those who like their parties who last a bit longer.

On previous mixes, most notably an Essential Mix a couple of years ago, Jones showcased himself as an studious selector whose tastes were broader than the contemporary house groove-fests that remain are the staple of his DJ performances. His mix for the Fabric series is a great reminder of this, and an eclectic summer blast that typically draws from the current pool of Hot Creations sponsored deep house groove, most notably Waifs and Strays and the track from Jones’ own Hot Natured collaboration.

However, the real gems on this record are where Jones prods numerous other smile inducing buttons such as the astro-disco remix skills of Holy Ghost and Murk, or the straight up disco of soho 808. The utterly superb and sinister 80s synth-pop of Footprintz is final track to savour on a record that just made this shit summer a whole load brighter.
