Monotonix
Crazed Israeli, grungey blues-rock brilliance. Resembling a more aggressive Black Keys, Tel Aviv’s Monotonix have cemented their reputation as one of the most ludicrous live bands around at the moment. Stage antics have included setting themselves and their equipment on fire and stealing drinks from audience members and chucking them over other audience members. Their party piece however, is re-arranging and playing their instruments in inappropriate areas of the venue. At a recent gig at Start The Bus, this manifested itself in the drummer moving his kit on top of the bar. Different. Very different. Oh yeah...the music is none too shabby either.
