Daughter announce that debut full length album ‘If You Leave’ will be released in March
The melodically rich London trio Daughter have announced that their debut full length album, entitled If You Leave will be released on March 18th via 4AD.
The band garnered a sizeable fanbase off the strength of the two EPs they released in 2011. The adoration for the group continued to swell during 2012 and the band commemorated their signing to 4AD with the single Smother, which was released October last year.
According to a press release, the production stage of If You Leave was a collaborative process between Daughter’s guitarist Igor Haefeli, Rodaidh McDonald (The xx, Adele) and Jolyon Vaughan Thomas. The album was mixed by Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros, M83) at High Bank Studio and mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios.
