Captured Tracks to reissue Ben Stiller’s high school band

The Zoolander actor’s band Capital Punishment may push him another step closer to hipster credibility

Captured Tracks are known for their commitment to re-issues but this morning’s news shows they are broadening their horizons. Digging deep into the annals of rock history to bring us… Ben Stiller’s old band from school.

Capital Punishment’s apparent influences are The Contortions, Captain Beefheart and The Residents. Stiller recently opened up to Howard Stern about the band saying ““I was like 15, 16, and my friend from high school, Chris, started this band […] I was the drummer,” He said, before adding that they were “Ridiculously weird.”

The album, titled Roadkill will be released at some time in the future on vinyl although an exact date has not yet been confirmed. In the mean time take a listen to Delta Time and Roadkill from the album below.
