Run the Jewels appear to have taken a leaf from Will Smith’s playbook in an attempt to engage a wider audience.
El-P has spent the day on Twitter hyping an edit of last year’s Run the Jewels 2 with all the swearing removed. Put together by the group’s Dj Trackstar, El-P suggested there were many who could benefit from the edit, including radio DJs and parents wanting to introduce the band to their kids.
Retweets from mild-mannered fans suggest he’s not wrong:
@therealelp Great. Going to play "Close Your Eyes (and Count to Fudge)" for my 2-year-old nephew on Easter.

@therealelp Thanks. I DJ at a community radio station and this is fantastic to have. Now I can play my favorite record of 2014 on air.

If you’re also keen to share the joys of the hip-hop duo with the easily offended, you can grab the edit here.
