Protesters chanted the chorus of Kendrick Lamar’s Alright at a Black Lives Matter conference in Cleveland, Ohio

Footage has emerged of protesters at Cleveland State University chanting the chorus of Kendrick Lamar’s Alright from his recent album To Pimp A Butterfly. The song is intended as an anthem for hope against increasing racial tensions in America.

The protests began after police detained a 14 year old boy for alleged underage intoxication. Witnesses contest that the police handled the teenager with undue force, slamming him to the ground.
