Ought Share Sun Coming Down

Sun Coming Down is the band’s second full-length

Last year Montreal based, lo-fi punk outfit Ought gave us one of our favourite albums. The near flawless More Than Any Other Day was a twitching record full of postmodern paranoia and jazz-like dissonance. Since then they’ve given us an anxious, angular four-track EP and now we’ve got the pleasure of album number two: Sun Coming Down.

Sun Coming Down continues the bands descent into the depths of self-confrontation and disjointed indie rock. It’s released on Constellation – the Canadian label responsible for releasing bands like Hanged Up, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Clues – on 18 September but you can hear it now a week early.
