Egyptian Lover to drop new album this month

Electro pioneer Egyptian Lover is back with his first new LP in nine years

Back in 2006 Egyptian Lover released Platinum Pyramids. That was eight years ago and the wait has been on ever since. We can now announce that he will be returning this year with his eighth album 1984.

The album’s title is said to be a nod to the sounds and vibe that influenced the record and is also a nod to the year that Egyptian Lover released his first album On The Nile. The producer has described the upcoming release as “Pure old-school electro.” and has that it has been ” “Recorded the old way with the old equipment.”
