Idles announce new EP, MEAT

The Bristol band also reveal a new video for new song, The Idles Chant

Bristol-based post-punkers Idles have announced a brand new EP named MEAT. The five-piece’s last released material was their critically acclaimed Welcome EP three years ago.

In an interview with Line Of Best Fit, Joe Talbot of the band discussed how the band has become “more airtight and venomous” after extensive practise sessions, the band being “lumps of imperfect meat”, and how their newest song, The Idles Chant, was inspired by 60s garage rock band The Monks.

MEAT features four new songs and will be heralded at two EP launch shows, one in Bristol’s Louisiana, and the other at London’s Old Blue Last. The band will also feature at Fluffer Fest tomorrow night. Click through for tickets.
