Rye Wax have released a statement on the looming threat from developers

As FACT recently reported, two of Peckham’s key institutions the Bussey Building and the enclosed record shop and night spot Rye Wax are under threat from developers.

Rye Wax have today released a statement urging as many people as possible to object to the plans which include the development of 11 luxury apartments and up to eight retail units at 133 Rye Lane.

If you’d like to oppose the project you can register your objection to Southwark Council here. You can read Rye Wax’s statement, which describes the development as a “Burton-suited, TOWIE-watching shadow” looming over them, below.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
