Alexander McQueen have decided to stage their AW16 womenswear show in London instead of Paris next year

On Sunday 21 February Alexander McQueen will return to London for their first womenswear show in the city since 2010. After the designer passed away and Sarah Burton took over leadership of the brand all womenswear shows were moved to Paris with menswear shows being relocated to Paris before being brought back to London in 2013.

A representative for the British Fashion Council is quoted as saying that the move is temporary, “The house will move from Paris, where they present seasonally, to London Fashion Week for AW16 only.”

The showcase is set to take the form of a runaway show at 7pm on Sunday 21 February 21. The locastion is yet to be revealed but we’ll keep you update as more information becomes available.
