DFA’s headquarters up for sale, take a look inside

The birth place of seminal records by The Juan McClean, LCD Soundsystem and The Rapture is on the market for a cool $16m

According to New York property site Curbed, the West Village town house which houses James Murphy’s DFA records is on sale. The impressive house features a basement recording studio, floor-to-ceiling windows and a small, sunlit patio.

The building, which sits on 225 West 13 Street in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District has been the home of DFA Records since 1999.
