Eminem is selling his childhood home brick by brick

The house that featured on the front of The Marshall Mathers LP is up for sale, but you’ll have to buy it one brick at a time

Attention all you Stans out there, Eminem is selling off a piece of his personal (and musical) history. The Detroit home where the young Marshal Mathers grew up is up for sale. Well kind of. The house was actually torn down back in 2013 due to it being structurally unsound but now Eminem is selling bricks from his childhood home on his website to mark the reissue of The Marshall Mathers LP.

The bricks will ship in a glass case accompanied by a cassette version of The Marshall Mathers LP, a dog tag made from salvaged wood from the home and an optional t-shirt. It’s no coincidence that Em is slinging the bricks now as the artwork for the LP features the very same house in the background. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Marshall Mathers Foundation which benefits at-risk youth in Michigan and the rest of the US.

Check out the artwork for The Marshall Mathers LP and The Marshall Mathers LP 2 below and get your hands one of the bricks for yourself over on Eminem’s website now (if you feel so inclined).
