Gucci Mane released from prison

Reports suggest that Radric Davies, better known as Gucci Mane, has been freed from prison four months before he was due to leave

According to popular entertainment website TMZ Gucci Mane has been released from prison before his sentence is up. The rapper, who was incarcerated in 2014 after pleading guilty to possession of firearms, was supposed to be set free on 20 September.

This morning, however, Gucci’s lawyer Drew Findling confirmed to TMZ that the rapper has now been let off early due to credit he had not yet claimed from a previous jail sentence. The 1017 founder walked free from an Indiana Prison on Thursday morning.

Gucci Mane will now serve the rest of his sentence under house arrest, though Tweets from his 1017 label account suggest that he’s keen to get back into the studio as soon as possible and have even mentioned that he will release a new mixtape called Gucci Free tonight.
