Simple Things announce 2016 finale featuring John Carpenter

The legendary film composer and director will bring his live show to the UK for the first time this year

John Carpenter, the director and composer responsible for such classic films as Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, The Fog, Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China, Prince of Darkness and They Live, is bringing his live show to this year’s Simple Things Festival for a special closing concert.

Carpenter, who has recently released his second collection of repurposed film soundtracks, Lost Themes II, is touring Europe for the first time this summer with a full live band. His stop at Simple Things will mark his first ever appearance in Bristol. The line-up for the main festival is still under wraps but watch this space for more information.

Simple Things Festival takes place on 22 October with John Carpenter: Live taking place on 23 October at Bristol’s Colston Hall as a standalone finale. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
