Mysterious Stone Roses Lemons Appear

Stone Roses’ trademark lemons have been popping up around Manchester city centre

More than 20 years since their last studio album, Second Coming, posters and billboards across Manchester have been mysteriously appearing over the last few days brandishing the band’s famous fruit motif.

This would not be the first time The Stone Roses have chosen guerrilla artwork as their preferred method of advertising. In November last year, their lemon logo appeared in a similar manner just before the announcement of their Etihad Stadium gigs. Fans have been speculating on Twitter as to what these not so subtle clues may be pointing to this time, fuelling the Northern rumour mill with talk of a new single or album from the band.
