Acts pull out of ATP Iceland

Blanck Mass, múm and Fabio Frizzi will not appear at the festival

Rumours are rife that ATP Iceland will go the way of its cancelled UK counterpart after three acts have announced that they will not be appearing at the festival.

The first, Blanck Mass, posted on his Facebook that “I hate to let anyone down, particularly people who have bought tickets to see me but it’s just not possible to be able to play this event”, while múm explained that “Unfortunately the terms of the agreement with the festival have not been honoured and the band has been left with no other option than to pull out of the line-up.”

Composer Fabio Frizzi is the most recent act to announce that he will not be appearing at ATP. “We’ve made every effort to make this show happen,” he wrote on Twitter. “But unfortunately the lack of communication and the failure to honour any of the agreements that we made with Barry Hogan (ATP), made it impossible for us to perform at this year’s ATP Iceland.”

The UK’s Manchester-based ATP festival was cancelled earlier this year, and the Stewart Lee-fronted festival also experienced cancelled acts including John Cale.
