Rappper Ludacris will perform to troops and their families at the infamous Guantánamo Bay naval base on Independence Day
Ludacris has been booked to perform for officers working at Guantánamo bay and their families this coming 4 July. The concert is part of the naval base’s annual independence day celebration – Freedom Festival. The performance will reportedly be followed by fireworks and family activities.
According to the Miami Herald the 89 terror suspects currently held at the facility will be unaware of the celebrations as the concert takes place some distance from the prison at Windward Ferry landing.
Previous artists to play at the yearly event include Magic!, Jimmy Eat World and Plain White T’s.
