The remaining members of 90s RnB group TLC have raised $150,000 through Kickstarter in order to make an album on their own terms
Back in January T-Boz and Chilli the remaining members of TLC announced that they were trying to raise funds to record a new album, their first in 14 years, without help from labels. Well, today, the duo have announced that they are well on their way to releasing the record after raising a cool $430,000 from fans including Katy Perry who bought a sleepover with T-Boz for $5000.
The group’s manager Bill Diggins broke the news on their Facebook page today saying “The best is definitely yet to come.” and that the group will share “15 new songs.” We look forward to seeing what they’ve got for us in the coming months.
