Rap royalty Slick Rick is touring in the UK for the first time ever this November
Born in Mitcham, Surrey Slick Rick moved to America at a young age. The La Di Da Di rapper last played in his home country in 1985 for a performance on Top of the Pops and he has not returned to tour the UK since. Due to various complications thrown up by US immigration authorities the rapper has been unable to travel outside of the country for the last 23 years but that’s all about to change: Slick Rick has just announced his first ever UK tour.
According to a press release Rick sees the tour as a long-overdue homecoming, “I’m coming home, back to my foundation, my make-up, my English roots,” he says. “I’m looking forward to a nice cup of tea and some tasty biscuits.” Check out the full list of dates below.
