Prince’s Purple Rain reissue to include unreleased material

There’s also a new greatest hits in the works

Warner Bros have announced their intentions to release a remastered, deluxe edition of Prince’s classic album, Purple Rain, in early 2017. Plans for the reissue were made with Prince before he passed away and were agreed upon by the artist himself. According to a press release the album will include “A second album of previously unreleased material.” But there are no exact details of what we can expect.

Warner have also promised a new Prince greatest hits album entitled Prince 4Ever which will be released on 22 November and features 39 of Prince’s most iconic songs and one previously unreleased track called Moonbeam Levels. Have a look at the artwork and tracklist below.
