Berlin’s CTM festival announce first acts for 2017

Berlin’s festival for adventurous music and art returns from 27 January – 5 February 2017 with the theme ‘Fear Anger Love’

Berlin’s CTM festival have just revealed a host of exciting announcements for their 2017 edition. This year’s venues include HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Berghain, Yaam and Heimathafen Neukölln.

The first acts announced for this year’s festival include UK experimental kingpin Actress, Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV mastermind Genesis P. Orridge who’ll be performing alongside Wolf Eyes’ Aaron Dilloway, internet rap provocateur Princess Nokia and Awful Records affiliate Tommy Genesis.

There’s loads more to explore across the week long programme including a screening of Hazel Hill McCarthy III’s film Bight Of The Twin which follows the aforementioned P. Orridge’s emotional search for h/er deceased partner Lady Jaye Breyer. The festival have also announced the return of their popular MusicMakers Hacklab programme and their Research Networking day where music students from around the world are invited to present their research at an international platform.
