Boiler Room’s Pennsylvania weekender shut down by police

The event, which was co-hosted by Ray-Ban, at Lake Harmony was prematurely closed at around 2AM by local police

A Boiler Room event taking place in Split Rock Resort, Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania was shut down prematurely by police this weekend. The Boiler Room weekender, co-hosted by Ray-Ban, was closed at around 2AM on Sunday morning (6 November).

According to a statement which Boiler Room gave to Thump the police confirmed one arrest but no further details were given. A spokesperson for Boiler Room also said, “We don’t have the exact details of what transpired, but for the safety of all our artists and guests we had to shutdown.”

Details are still very sketchy at the moment but DJ Haram has taken to Twitter to accuse the police of white supremacy, trolling and the mistreatment of artists, curators and guests. DJ Bearcat also commented on Twitter, “Kinda feel set up being brought to perform at a resort that’s still open to the public, i.e racist locals.” And also mentioned that the only room at the party to have full police checks was the Venus X hosted GHE20GOTH1K room.

Anthony Naples, MikeQ, Honey Soundsystem and Danny Daze were all also billed to play the festival but had to pull out after the event was shutdown. We have reached out to Boiler Room for further comment.
