The Alameda County Sherriff’s Office has confirmed a list of victims who passed away in the Ghost Ship fire in Oakland last weekend includes two members of the 100% Silk roster as well as other key members of Oakland’s arts community

The fire which hit Oakland warehouse space The Ghost Ship has dealt the city’s arts community a mighty blow. Among those now confirmed dead are Cherushii and Nackt, two producers affiliated with the label 100% Silk.

Cherushii, whose real name was Chelsea Faith Dolan, was known as a producer of deep, hypnotic house music. Her full-length album, Memory of Water, was released on 100% Silk in August 2015. Nackt also had a prolific and eclectic output on the label. Born Johnny Igaz he produced shapeshifting ambient electronica.

Local label K Records have set up a fund for the victims and their families. You can donate by clicking here. Read a statement on the death of Cherushii from 100% Silk’s Maria Minerva below.
