Marea Stamper is named as the next quarterly resident for the East London club
The Black Madonna is the latest DJ to become a Friday night fixture at XOYO, following the likes of Skream, Bicep and Heidi. She will play weekly from April through June, with her first date set for 7 April.
The Chicago stalwart played the club back in October as part of Heidi’s The Jackathon residency. The news follows a cryptic video posted by Stamper on Friday (27 January) stating “London: We Still Believe” – We Still Believe is, of course, the name of her label.
The residency will feature three, themed all-night sessions, with the first focusing on early electro, EBM, industrial and techno. The second takes a tour through dub, hip hop, Miami bass and jungle while disco and house are the order of the day for the third all-nighter, also the finale to her residency, on 30 June. Details for the other dates in the 13 week stretch are yet to be unveiled.
The Black Madonna’s latest 12″ release, He Is The Voice I Hear was recently used as the soundtrack for Fendi‘s Fall/Winter 2017/18 show at Men’s Fashion Week in Milan.
