Gloria Steinem quoted Drake in her Women’s March speech

Speaking to crowds in Washington over the weekend as part of the global Women’s March events, iconic feminist activist, writer and lecturer Gloria Steinem quoted Drake in her speech.

As Genius notes, her speech included the line, “A Twitter finger must not become a trigger finger.” This line is best associated with a lyric on Drake’s 2015 Meek Mill diss track Back To Back where he raps, “Trigger fingers turn to Twitter fingers.”

Steinem’s use of the lyric was aimed at the new President – a prolific tweeter who now holds a powerful office. She goes on to list a number of observations made about President Trump taken from research by the American Psychiatric Association.
