John Cale talks Vince Staples, Chance The Rapper and Earl Sweatshirt

John Cale shared his thoughts on current hip-hop.

Speaking to Savages’ Jehnny Beth on her Start Making Sense Beats 1 show, he cited a few artists as big inspirations for his upcoming LP.

Pitchfork notes that Cale has been influenced by Chance the Rapper, Donnie Trumpet, Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, super-producer Mike WiLL Made-It, Domo Genesis, and others. He recently spoke about Mike WiLL Made-It with long-form interview site The Creative Independent.
