The Bug is joining forces with Dylan Carlson of drone metallers Earth for LP

Concrete Desert – their debut full-length as The Bug vs Earth – is due to land on Ninja Tune this spring

Kevin Martin and Dylan Carlson have announced that they will release their first full collaborative full-length on 24 March (digital) and 5 May (physical) via Ninja Tune.

It’s not the first time that the dub/noise producer and founder of ambient metal pioneers Earth have teamed up. The LP, called Concrete Desert, follows their 2014 EP Boa/Cold, itself the result of a creative partnership struck during the recording of The Bug’s Angels & Devils LP.

Recorded in Daddy Kev’s LA studio, the LP is inspired by J.G. Ballard’s urban dystopias and the seedier side of the entertainment capital of the US. According to the press release, the LP is meant, in some ways at least, as a LA-set companion piece to London Zoo.

The pair will also be hitting the road with a string of dates across the UK and Europe. In the meantime, you can hear the first single, Snakes vs Rats via the player above. Keep reading for tour dates and tracklist.
