Ed Sheeran has been confirmed as the final headliner for Glastonbury

Ed Sheeran

The speculation has ended

The singer-songwriter broke the news that he is set to fill the third Glastonbury headline slot via his Instagram today (16 March).

It’s been rumoured that Sheeran will be playing at the festival for some time now, so the confirmation that he will be playing Sunday night isn’t a big surprise. However, the announcement follows Sheeran’s Brits appearance last month – a performance which saw him duet with Stormzy, so perhaps he may have a few special guests up his sleeve come June.

Sheeran – who is currently dominating the UK charts – joins Friday night headliners Radiohead and Foo Fighters, who are taking the Saturday night slot.
