Mogwai announce major world tour

Mogwai announce world tour

The band will be playing a string of dates across Europe, north America and the UK

Post rock titans Mogwai have announced that they’re hitting the road for an extensive world tour. Kicking off in September with a headline slot at Festival No. 6, the band will be playing a run of dates that include Europe, the US and Canada before wrapping up in their home city, Glasgow, in December.

The tour follows their recent US jaunt which saw the band promoting Atomic, their most recent record – a soundtrack made in collaboration with director Mark Cousins. While stateside, they completed recording their ninth studio album. The record, which has yet to be named, marked a reunion between the band and producer Dave Fridmann – the first time since 2001’s Rock Action.
