German Krautrock pioneers Can to release triple vinyl collection

The compilation is set to drop in June via Mute and Spoon Records

Tracing the band’s trajectory and expansive career, Can: The Singles is slated for release on 16 June. The triple vinyl compilation will include hits such as Halleluwah, Future Days and Vitamin C.

The announcement follows the sad passing of dummer Jaki Liebezeit who died on 22 January this year.

Furthermore, Faber & Faber are set to release a book in two volumes devoted to the band, entitled All Gates Open.

One volume will be an authorised biography written by Rob Young, and the second volume – named Can Kiosk – will document keyboardist Irmin Schmidt’s thoughts, visuals and interviews.

The Can Project – featuring Irmin Schmidt, Malcolm Mooney and Thurston Moore – perform at The Barbican this weekend. They also appear on the Glastonbury Festival line-up.
