Goldie releases new single Castaway, announces UK tour

The drum’n’bass legend is set to embark on a ‘one of a kind’ tour with an orchestra and special guests

Drum’n’bass pioneer Goldie has dropped the single Castaway from his forthcoming double album The Journey Man.

The upcoming double album is slated for release on 16 June via Cooking Vinyl and his own Metalheadz imprint. It’ll be his first solo studio release under moniker Goldie since 1998’s Saturnz Return.

Previously, Goldie has released the single I Adore You.

The Journey Man tour will see Goldie perform with members of the Heritage Orchestra, alongside some special guests, for live shows around venues, including Bristol’s Colston Hall and London’s Roundhouse. He’s described the tour as “one of a kind: a culmination of everything past, present and future in my music.”

The artist will be releasing his hard-hitting memoir All Things Remembered on 2 November via Faber Books. It has been described as “uncensored”. He said, “All Things Remembered is not just the story of how and why, it’s everything from the children’s homes to the Whispering Wheels roller-disco to rolling with the graffiti kings of New York to writing with David Bowie to reinventing myself as the Dorian Gray of fucking breakbeat.”
