The co-founder of Brooklyn’s Discwoman will be dropping her album on 16 June via Ninja Tune sub-label Technicolour
It’s been announced today (12 April) that the Bronx-born and Brooklyn-based artist Umfang will be releasing Symbolic Use Of Light this year. The lead single from the upcoming album is entitled Weight.
On her creative approach, Umfang aka Emma Burgess-Olson explains, “My process is really about sitting down and seeing what happens – it becomes a time-capsule of whatever works from that time period.”
Symbolic Use Of Light will be the follow-up to 2016’s Riffs EP which arrived on 1080p.
Umfang is due to tour this year, with a show locked in for London’s Corsica Studios this week (14 April).
