Supersonic Festival announce complete 2017 line-up

Highlights from the latest round of additions include Big Joanie, a Nawa Recordings showcase and a kids-only gig from Japanese grindcore outfit Melt Banana.

Boundary-pushing experimental festival Supersonic have completed their lineup for this year’s edition, adding a crop of new artists to a bill that already includes performances from Jenny Hval, Richard Dawson, and Raime.

Amongst those added are radical WoC punks Big Joanie, a Nawa Recordings showcase curated by label head Khyam Allami, Nottingham DIY outfit Grey Hairs, and Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs. Another noteworthy inclusion is a one-off performance by Melt Banana targeted at children aged ten and under.

Supersonic takes place from June 16- 18 across several central Birmingham venues including Boxxed, The Crossing, and The Wilde Building, as well as Birmingham Town Hall which will play host to a special pipe organ performance from Anna Von Hausswolff by way of opening concert.
