Watch the visually stunning new trailer for Blade Runner 2049

Thirty-five years ago, Ridley Scott reimagined Philip K. Dick’s cyberpunk novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep into the landmark piece of neo-noir science-fiction Blade Runner. Visually and musically, the film has risen to become one of the most highly regarded movies of all time. Now, the full trailer for the long-awaited sequel Blade Runner 2049 is here, complete with lavish settings, Vangelis-esque score (courtesy of Jóhann Jóhannsson) and sumptuous visuals that build on the images glimpsed in December’s teaser trailer.

Set 30 years after the last film, Blade Runner 2049 is helmed by Denis Villeneuve, the young director behind last year’s intelligent sci-fi picture Arrival. Thankfully, this two-minute clip – featuring Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto and, of course, Harrison Ford reprising his role as Deckard – doesn’t disappoint.
