Berlin’s Tresor announces programme for The Potential

Featuring the Underground Resistance crew, hip-hop project Be-Troit and more

Legendary Berlin club Tresor have announced the schedule for an event titled The Potential. Helmed by Underground Resistance co-founder Mike Banks and Tresor boss Dimitri Hegemann, the event focuses on the creative exchange between two major cities – Detroit and Berlin. According to the press release, The Potential “evolved from diverse conversations between Banks and Hegemann when comparing both cities.”

Set to take place on 9-10 June, the weekend’s events will kick off with a panel discussion revolving around the topic: ‘How Can Art Influence the Discourse around Political Changes?’ Banks himself will be speaking on the panel, alongside Natascha T. Miller, Adrian Tonon, Danielle de Picciotto and Katja Kullmann – who’ll be moderating.

Naturally, there’ll be club nights too with various live performances locked in from a wealth of DJs at the event. Underground Resistance will present Depth Charge, featuring Banks performing live with Mark Flash, Basic Soul Unit, Blake Baxter, DJ Skurge and Mike Huckaby amongst others.

Furthermore, the event will present hip-hop project Be-Troit, music production workshops and Berlin Soup – a neighbourhood project in which people can submit ideas and plans for future city development.
