Björk to release new album “very soon”

Bjork for Crack Magazine by Felipe Santiago

It’s available to pre-order now

Björk has revealed that she’ll be releasing a new album soon. The artist has shared an image of a note with the following message: “I am excited to share with you that my new album is coming out very soon”.

The as-yet-untitled release will be the follow-up to 2015’s Vulnicura, and is available to pre-order now. The cover art and release date is yet to be revealed.

“This is like my Tinder album,” the Icelandic icon explains in her latest cover story with Dazed“It’s about that search (for utopia) – and about being in love. Spending time with a person you enjoy is when the dream becomes real.”

Furthermore, she reveals in the cover feature that the album will feature Arca – who co-produced Vulnicura. The process of working with him was, she describes, “the strongest musical relationship I’ve had.” She also details how she drew her inspiration for the forthcoming album from right-wing populism: “If we’re gonna survive the situation the world is in today, we’ve got to come up with a new plan. Especially now, this kind of dream is an emergency.”
