St Vincent to direct adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray

The artist will be reimagining the Oscar Wilde classic with a woman playing the title role

Annie Clark – otherwise known as St Vincent – is set to direct an adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s novel The Picture of Dorian Gray. Clark’s version will see a woman play the main role.

This has been done once before for a 1983 version, entitled The Sins of Dorian Gray, which starred Belinda Bauer.

The artist made her directorial debut with the anthology horror film XX, which featured four segments helmed entirely by women.
