Kendrick Lamar opened the show at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards last night (28 August).
He performed two tracks from his recent LP DAMN. – starting his performance with DNA. before moving into HUMBLE., the latter of which won Video of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects.
The performance continued the Kung Fu Kenny martial arts themes which Crack explored in this piece.
During the performance, a troop of ninjas flipped and moved around Kendrick before scaling a wall of fire. Watch it below.
