The track was inspired by BBC’s Blue Planet II
Radiohead and Hans Zimmer have premiered their new collaborative track ocean (bloom) on BBC Radio 6 Music today (27 September). The collaboration is a rework of Radiohead’s track Bloom – from their 2011 album King of Limbs.
“Bloom was inspired by the original Blue Planet series, so it’s great to be able to come full circle with the song and reimagine it for this incredible landmark’s sequel,” Yorke said.
Zimmer has composed the score for the upcoming Blue Planet series, and ocean (bloom) was recorded with BBC Concert Orchestra for the sequel.
