Fever Ray to drop new album Plunge tomorrow

Karin Dreijer has announced a new Fever Ray album.

Entitled Plunge, the full-length is the follow-up to 2009’s critically acclaimed self-titled album and will be the first new music from the project in eight years. The release will be followed by the CD and vinyl formats on 23 February via Rabid Records.

Furthermore, Dreijer will be embarking on a live tour in 2018. The dates are yet to be announced.

The album has been largely recorded in Dreijer’s Stockholm studio, and features collaborations with Paula Temple, Deena Abdelwahed, NÍDIA, Tami T, Peder Mannerfelt and Johannes Berglund, who’s mixed the forthcoming release.

Recently, Dreijer rolled out a series of teasers and released a visual for the album’s track To The Moon And BackDirected by Martin Falck, the video follows a character who wakes up from being cryogenically frozen and wanders the seemingly empty surroundings. Later, there’s a twisted tea party, for which the protagonist becomes the table’s centrepiece.
