Top Boy to make its return on Netflix with two new series

The award-winning drama is coming back with a multi-season deal

After rumours have been circulating of the return of Top Boy, it’s now been confirmed by Radio Times that Netflix will be reviving the Channel 4 drama. Having signed a multi-season deal, it’s set to continue for another two series. The Drake-approved drama ran for two series between 2011 and 2013, but was not renewed until now. Top Boy’s two series have now been made available to watch on the US streaming service.

Starring Ashley Walter as local drug dealer Dushane, the East London crime drama is about gang life on the estate. Walters is expected to reprise his role for the new seasons, and the show’s creator Ronan Bennett is also expected to be involved.

Netflix is yet to make its announcement on the show’s return, but it’s expected that a statement will come from the streaming service soon.
