Mayfest shares programme for 2022

Travis Alabanza by Eivind Hansen

The international contemporary performance festival returns to Bristol from 13-29 May.

Mayfest has revealed the programme for its fourth edition. A series of performances, films, parties and interactive artworks will place across the city. As the first Mayfest in four years, the event will host new works from Travis Alabanza and Scottee, a concept gig from Bristol-based artist and musician Brook Tate, and a walking performance piece by Palestinian filmmaker, writer and actor Ramzi Maqdisi.

There will also be the UK premiere of choreographer Doris Uhlich’s participatory dance-party-come-performance HABITAT, and Swiss artist Monika Truong will present her interactive piece Be Part Of for the first time in the UK. Mayfest Radio is also set to return throughout the duration of the festival, broadcasting a series of audio performances, podcasts and workshops.

This year, Mayfest tickets are priced on a pay-what-you-can basis. More information and tickets are available here.
