Portuguese pairing Marco Rodrigues and Miguel Evaristo are Photonz. They’ve been rapidly releasing their offerings on a slew of chin stroking labels for a couple of years now, picking up supporters from all corners of the globe. From the DFA Records office in New York, to their appearance in a recent Friendly Fires Essential Mix, their sound could be described as an amalgamation of psych-disco and techno alongside off-kilter beats. They also head up their own One Eye Jacks imprint as an outlet for their music, and look out for their upcoming January release of the Love Spectre EP on Don’t Be Afraid Recordings.
