Few labels in the UK – or anywhere for that matter – can match Huntleys & Palmers in terms of sheer dynamism.

While perhaps best known for the globe-trotting brand of club music championed by the likes of Auntie Flo and Mehmet Aslan, the imprint has also released work by everyone from SOPHIE to Helena Hauff, all the while maintaining an impressive level of diversity through their eponymous club series.

As one of the collective’s founding members and head of A&R, Andrew Thomson is responsible for much of Huntleys & Palmers’ continued progression as well as the genesis of its offshoot labels, the edit-focused Highlife and the fantastically named club-centric Belters. The label turns ten this year and its ascent shows no sign of slowing down.

Thomson keeps it close for his Crack Mix, providing a typically typically eclectic selection he describes as a bunch of records I’m feeling at the moment from label artists, friends and some of the ‘Clyde Built’ connections, alongside a few old favourites I’ve recently rediscovered.” Here’s to another ten years.
