In Photos: Kelela at McQ Swallow Launch

Alongside DJ sets from the Warp-signed duo Darkstar, last night McQ Alexander McQueen hosted an intimate performance from Kelela to launch their Swallow capsule collection at Rough Trade East.

Following the Warp Records-curated launch party for McQ’s Spitafield store late last year, last night’s show saw the affiliation between McQ and the eternally credible record label continue. Having signed to Warp last year, Kelela released both her Hallucinogen EP and its adventurous remixed version via the label, and fans are hoping to see her debut album come out later this year.

Strolling through the packed-out record store, the former Crack cover star took to the stage to perform a slick, but emotive set. Kelela’s the kind of artist that fans keep close to their heart, and she made sure to shoutout those in the front rows who knew every word. Check out pictures of the event below.
