Matt Karmil

Matt Karmil is probably best known for his Beats in Space-released club anthem So You Say but the German-based British-born producer has been turning heads in the underground for more than just one great tune.

His latest offering is a full-length album on Bristol’s ever-reliable Idle Hands label. The album features far-reaching electronic musings that flit between house, techno and dub with bass driven thumps and some oddly appealing slap bass underpinning a fuzzy ambience.

Across 13 tracks Karmil explores the possibilities of electronic soundscapes without being bound by genre or expectation.

Karmil’s self-titled album is available on 2LP & Digital from Friday 5 February. Grab vinyl from Idle Hands or pre-order online at Boomkat.
