TCP

Prolific multi-instrumentalist Tony Carey has enjoyed an enormously productive career that has only increased in output since his departure from hard rock band Rainbow in 1977. Modestly, he refers to his time as a musician in the 80s as merely “busy”, but check out his discography for yourself.

Originally released on X Records in 1984, a solo record by the pioneering artist is now being re-released on vinyl for the first time by Berlin-based label Disco Halal. Joyously experimental, TCP is the product of a bout of audio exploration in Germany that bore five albums – TCP, Explorer, No Human, Heaven, and Yellow Power. Often referred to as a must-have for record collectors, and considered a classic by many, TCP has proven its lasting influence and demonstrates an exciting stepping stone into the genres we see electronic musicians working in today.

TCP is out via Disco Halal on 15 June. The label recently announced TCP Moscoman Reworks EP, out Summer 2016
