January 2016 Playlist

There is some good stuff that drops around the Christmas break, but there’s far too many family commitments to keep your finger firmly on the pulse. And to be honest, if you found yourself hiding in your parents’ spare room to stream Gucci Mane’s East Atlanta Santa 2 mixtape instead of munching Quality Street with your nan, then shame on you. Fortunately, we’ve dug up some of the best tracks from the holiday season and the early days of 2016 to keep you updated.

The first Crack playlist of the year kicks off with a new single from Kehlani, and later features a track from Pusha T’s solid new LP, new heat from D Double E, melodic indie flourishes from Wild Nothing, acid ragga flavours from The Bug’s right hand woman Miss Red, a poignant track from Dean Blunt collaborator Joanne Robertson plus a Kelela remix by grime producer Kahn that features the masked UK rapper Gaika. Enjoy.
