October 2015 Playlist

Choosing the right music at any social gathering can be nerve-wracking. As your quivering hands reach for the laptop, you’re suddenly filled with doubt. Everyone’s judging here, and if you go for something too relaxed you run the risk of killing the vibe, but if it’s too intense, someone’s boring boyfriend will inevitably wince as if you’ve just scratched a knife across a plate. In these situations, your best option is to simply press play on one of Crack’s diverse, impeccable monthly playlists.

The October playlist includes a collab between the Australian producer Salute and Awful Records singer Abra, a jazzy beat from Brainfeeder-signed footwork rascal DJ Paypal, a seven minute comeback track by Chicago indie experimentalists Tortoise, heartfelt rap from Shy Glizzy, Lil Herb and Isaiah Rashad, dancefloor-tailored bangers from DJ Haus and 1080p’s Trust Image plus full throttle post-punk from Bristol band Idles. We’d better warn you that there’s also Genesis Breyer P-Orridge’s remix of a Blanck Mass track, which is basically Kryptonite to boring dudes. Enjoy.
